Writing Detective Stories
Year Group: 5/6
Subject – Literacy
A day of imaginative storytelling and puzzle-solving. Participants will create their own detective characters and mystery plots and build their ideas into a longer piece of writing. They will learn about constructing puzzles and seeding clues and red herrings. They will find out about fictional genres and how to surprise readers. Participants will be guided by an experienced writer in the field.
