Create your very own spooky story this season!

Come along on an exciting journey of story-making. Discover your inner author as you fire up your imagination to create your very own dramatic story.

You’ll start with some fun exercises to get your creative juices flowing. We’ll take a look at what inspires and interests you to come up with some wonderfully spooky story ideas. Next, you’ll get immersed in the key elements of storytelling, including:

• Setting and world-building

Create a map of the world for where your story can take place

• Characters

Design dynamic characters, including ​character ​goals and motivation

• Plot and structure

Devise a compelling narrative with dramatic action and key turning points

• Narrative

Explore the use of conflict, suspense and exciting dialogue.

You’ll be able to find out more about my own writing journey and what’s inspired my stories through interactive tasks that will help you develop your own stories. We’ll also take a look at how you might connect the past with the present for a truly spooky tale. Plus, we’ll explore how secrets and objects can develop a story that’s filled with intrigue, conflict and drama!
