Comic strips are a popular form of literature that combines drawing and design with carefully chosen text, to achieve eye-catching and entertaining results.  What better introduction to these than via the fun and engaging topic of Superheroes?!   Learn all the tricks of the trade to inform clever combinations of illustration and text that will allow you to engage others with the use of precise vocabulary and simple but imaginative story structure.  A range of superhero comic strips will be poured over and enjoyed, before it is time to fully unleash your creativity.  You will then be supported in designing a unique and authentic superhero, ready to be unleashed on their quest for good.  Wings like a shield of steel or an ability to scale buildings might be put to the test, as you launch your superhero full throttle into their very own comic strip world.  This day promises to be a learning-rich head-turner and is the perfect precursor to our Graphic Novels course for older primary pupils
